I'd say the game is very "hygge", but it's Swedish, so I won't.
There's a smiling rock, there is a literal ball of fluff, there's an adorable giant deer from another dimension.
Nothing about TOEM will blow your mind, but you're guaranteed to smile - and it's quite likely you'll squee at the many, many specimens of cute. It has charm and quirk while also feeling minimal and understated, honestly my brain didn't really click that it was in black and white until i finished the game, obviously i knew it was black and white but what i mean is the world of TOEM is so well put together and so vibrant with personality that it 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 like it's in colour.Īnd really that's the best way i can explain it, if you can make a black and white game feel vibrant you know you've nailed the world design, if you like cozy and relaxing games with some cool photography thrown in this game needs to be in your library. You gain bus pass tickets to get to the next area where you'll then go around helping a new set of interesting fellows. It's hard to define a Genre for TOEM i suppose it's an adventure game with puzzle and hidden object elements, you go around the world helping out the inhabitants by using your camera to photograph different animals, scenarios, characters and points of interest. Love this game, it served as a nice respite when the rest of the games i was playing at the time were competitive titles.
